thenewbuzwuzzA number of fannish things are about to happen! Or are scheduled to happen in a bit. Or are in the process of being scheduled. :D
So, tomorrow, Thursday the 20th, we get to know who all won the Headline Awards. (So, Giles rec list incoming, basically.)
Next Monday, February 24th, bidding is going to open for @fandomtrumpshate! And the offerings are already listed at @fth2020offerings! 12 (!!) people are offering to make something for the Buffyverse - mostly fic, but also art and vids. You can see them all in the FTH Buffyverse tag! I'm one of them! :D (I'm offering to make a moodboard or banner based on my high bidder's Buffyverse story, similar to that thing I made for Hannah last year. Here's a link to my FTH contributor page with all the deets.)
Then - I don't remember if I've mentioned, but come March, @yourlibrarian will be running a fest for archiving meta on AO3, through @marchmetamatterschallenge. My belief in preserving fanworks for posterity is warring with my doubt whether anything meta-ish I've ever posted is worth remembering, but I plan to scrounge up a couple of things. :)
And we've just started thinking about the theme and schedule for the coming spring round of @seasonal_spuffy, so this week and next are a good time to weigh in on that (on LJ or in Google Forms).

Also, I added credit for the tumblr icon, in the DW profile of marchmetamatterschallenge. Have to credit the photographers somewhere, since the images were licensed as CC Attribution-Noncommercial.
