It takes a village (Snowflake Challenge #10: Talk About A Creator/Someone Who Inspired You)

I wasn't sure how best to write this post. (I'm still not.) I didn't want to single anyone out, but in the interest of not spending the whole night on this, I have limited myself to a few people who made or did or said something that directly inspired a specific thing or things I've created. I'm not naming or linking what things they inspired, because this isn't self-promotion time, round two. I'm imagining what if there were someone who likes my work and isn't already familiar with these folks, and I'm framing this post thusly:

if you like my stuff (*and heck, if you don't), you might like what some of the below people do (or did) - either I love the way they think, or something they made impressed/moved me just that much, or they excel at encouraging creativity in others, or all of the above.

A non-exhaustive, Buffy-centric list in no particular order:

• Double Dutchess of the playful and solidly well-made art and thoughtful comments
• Barb C (@rahirah), who needs no introduction and has inspired, to a greater or lesser extent, whether or not I noticed it at the time, about half a dozen things I've made
• OffYourBird of the epic canon divergences, Spuffy power couples comfortable in their sexuality, lovable Scoobies, and just incredibly lovely and supportive presence in the community
• Sigyn of the meticulously canon-based characterization that often feels SO true to me, it sometimes has a way of slipping directly into my headcanons so that I forget there was ever a time I *didn't* headcanon a thing the way Sigyn wrote it
• The_Eclectic_Bookworm of the adorable, thriving Scoobies, strong platonic relationships, and heartwarming everything
• gracenm, who makes such a sustained effort to inspire and encourage people, and she is great at it, within her mod duties and otherwise (also, her stories are good, what I've seen of them)
• yellowb, who has written sweet and imaginative stories and regularly instigates wild surrealist mayhem (did you know signup is currently open for the fourth Exquisite Corpse blind round robin?)
• sunalso, who has written so much tasty Spuffy and who (as far as I'm aware) brought the Hanahaki Disease trope to the Buffyverse
• @melannen of the brilliant trope twist list and spreading of JavaScript joy
• @beer_good_foamy, he of so many insightful stories that go fun places (in the context of this post, I should particularly mention Ceteris Paribus, probably Crumbs, and Five By Five By Five By...)
• thewiggins, who gives outstanding feedback (which is why I'm biased), does weird and surreal so well, pays tribute to femslash rarepairs...

I'm stopping not because I'm out of people, but because I'm out of evening.
