It's HERE, worksafe, and Spuffy.

This is more of a progress ramble than a rec, although I do appreciate the internal rhymes there!
  • I have learned to use the AO3 external bookmark bookmarklet! It must have been obvious all along to people who know what bookmarklets are, but the instruction on AO3 refers to browser UI that I don't have, and I got a bit confused about the whole concept of bookmarking a bookmarklet for bookmarking. But I've got it now. Tried it out on FFN, and it only fetches the URL and title - but that's something. The people who browse new BtVS bookmarks on AO3 should be very afraid. I feel a leetle bad about spamming them, but it's not like I can bookmark faster than they can scroll. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • The other day, I squeed about a poem written in 2002, but FFN is so full of 2002/2003 Buffy poems. There must be hundreds of them still archived there. I wonder how many authors have forgotten about them. I wonder if anyone deletes them out of embarrassment after I comment (which I don't if I only looked at something long enough to determine it's a poem, but I do if it caught my attention enough to read properly).
  • I'm on page 24 of FFN Buffy poems when sorted by favorites. Past me thought working in the direction of more favorites was a good way to avoid getting fed up. Well, if I didn't get fed up in the first 5 pages, it's probably not going to happen. (I will have to run a time-based search at the end, though, to catch anything people added recently.) It's a lot of people's early attempts or just writing down their feels. Not sure if poetry was especially popular among Buffy fans on FFN back in the day, or it's just that FFN's filters help find more of it, or what.
  • I have my doubts about how much point, exactly, there is to bookmarking all this. But I sure love being able to filter the collection to "recs only" plus whatever I'm looking for. (Fun fact, if you filter my collection that way, you will miss all of my stuff, some of Bangel, and some prose fic with poems in.) I'm not about to expend effort on being judgmental about people's writing. Adding everything poem-shaped is so much simpler.
